In addition to providing the timbre and character of the voice, they help humidify the air passing through the nose and approach body temperature, reduce the head's weight as it is filled with air (sinusitis patients feel a heaviness on their head) and keep the head upright.

How does sinusitis occur?

Sinusitis is called inflammation of the mucosa covering the sinus cavities with factors such as viral, bacterial and fungal. Sinusitis is called acute sinusitis if it lasts less than 2 weeks, subacute sinusitis if it lasts between 2 and 12 weeks, and chronic sinusitis if it lasts longer than 12 weeks.
